Heart Gifts founders, David & Helen Haidle, have illustrated and written 54 books for children and adults. During the past 13 years, Haidles along with their ministry/prayer partners have given thousands of Christian picture books, Big Books, and pocketbooks to various ministries at home and abroad for distribution to children and adults in need. Heart Gifts

During the past ten years, nearly THREE MILLION Christmas cards have been printed. ALL of them have been distributed across the USA, from a jail in northern Alaska to a prison in south Florida. In Colorado, two cards are given to every inmate in all the jails and prisons in the entire state during the past five years. Doors have opened in nearly 100 prisons in the states of Washington, Idaho, North Dakota, Kansas, South Dakota, Montana, Iowa, Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan, Nebraska, Pennsylvania, Louisiana, California, Nevada, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas, Georgia, Missouri, Mississippi, Virginia, Florida, South & North Carolina, Tennessee, Ohio, Kentucky, and New York. We also donate cards to several large prison ministries who send cards to inmates in many different states.

In 2026, over 230,000 cards were requested by prison chaplains in 30+ states. This means that over 100,000 inmates will each receive between two to three cards, which they will send to over 230,000 friends and family members.

NOTE: We estimate the 230,000 cards sent out this year will be read by 500,000 - 800,000 people (depending on how many people are in the home which receives a card).
